The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has initiated a comprehensive survey to reduce accidents caused by unauthorized hoardings. The survey, which will last two days, will be conducted by licensed inspectors in eight zones of the PMC. Sandeep Khot has been appointed as the Nodal Officer for the survey. The Sky Sign and License Department has scheduled a meeting on May 17 for hoarding owners to review the survey’s findings.

The survey includes assessing the legal status of hoardings, scrutinizing pending legal actions, verifying owner details and checking structural stability certificates. It also evaluates potential traffic disruptions caused by unauthorized hoardings. It will also check the location, size, height, status, letter affixing, pending court cases, and design completion or incompleteness of the hoarding.

Joint Commissioner Chandrakant Indalkar announced that action will be taken on illegal hoardings in Pimpri Chinchwad city from Monday, May 20. The survey aims to identify potential risks and rectify them, and the owner and concerned officials should cooperate with the process.

Shekhar Singh, Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, appealed to unauthorized hoarding owners to remove their unauthorized hoardings within two days, cooperate with the authorities, and take necessary measures. He further added that the comprehensive survey is crucial for the safety of the city’s citizens.
