Pune, August 22, 2025: The Public Undertakings Committee of the Maharashtra Legislature, headed by Chairman MLA Rahul Kul, conducted an inspection of the Khopoli-Kusgaon Missing Link project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Senior officials of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), including Vice Chairman and Managing Director Anilkumar Gaikwad, Joint Managing Director Manuj Jindal, and Superintendent Engineer Rahul Vasaikar, were present during the review.

The ambitious project is set to transform travel between Mumbai and Pune by bypassing the ghat section, reducing congestion and travel time. It features a 9-km-long and 23-meter-wide tunnel, one of the largest in India, and a 185-meter-high bridge, expected to be the tallest in the country once completed.
