Mumbai Pune Expressway : Tragic Accident Of Glass Truck Halts Traffic On Mumbai Route
Mumbai Pune Expressway : A devastating incident occurred on the Mumbai Pune Expressway near Borghat Police Station involving two trucks. The collision included a glass truck, resulting in shattered glass strewn across the expressway. The painstaking process of clearing the accident wreckage and the glass debris has been underway since early morning. Consequently, traffic heading from Pune to Mumbai has been brought to a complete standstill. When Pune Pulse contacted the Traffic Highway Police they informed that the traffic has been diverted from Khandala. Two lanes on the expressway are functioning at the time.
Overturned Container Causes Disruption on Wednesday
In a separate incident on Wednesday, a trailer overturned within the Khandala tunnel on the Mumbai-bound lane of the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported, though two individuals sustained injuries. The police reported the mishap occurring around 11:30 AM. Extensive efforts were put into motion to remove the overturned trailer, contributing to the temporary suspension of traffic flow towards Mumbai.
