A young man skated from Mumbai to Kerala along the national highway and ended up in police custody for putting others at risk.

Subratho Mandal, originally from West Bengal but living in Mumbai, reportedly traveled around 1,300 kilometers to Thrissur, Kerala, in six days on roller skates. He was said to have grabbed onto moving vehicles to increase his speed. His goal was to visit his brother, who works in Thrissur.

The police charged him for skating dangerously on busy roads, which posed a threat to others.

The circle inspector of Thrissur East, Jijo M J, mentioned that there were reports a few days earlier about a young man skating recklessly through the city, but they were unable to locate him at that time. However, on Tuesday, he was spotted skating dangerously again and was subsequently arrested.

The police stated that he was charged under the provisions of the Kerala Police Act for endangering the public. Mandal works as a barber, but he possesses advanced roller skating skills, according to the police.
