Municipal scholarship programme: CBSE and ICSE students also included
The social development department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has announced the prize money for meritorious students who passed 10th and 12th the previous academic year in flying colours. Prizes will be given for those who secured 80 to 90% and also, above 90% in 10th Maharashtra state board exams. Those who secured more than 90% in Class 12 will also receive the prize money.
Taking cognizance of this, Shatrughan Kate had given a written statement to the then Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil as well as the present Commissioner Shekhar Singh and demanding that according to the set mark rules, the students who have passed from CBSE, ICSE and other boards should also get the benefit of this scheme.
Finally, after consistent follow up made by Bapu Kate, the municipal administration has revised the scheme. Accordingly, students of schools/colleges under CBSE Board, ICSE Board will also be given the benefit of these schemes. The online submission and acceptance deadline for this scheme has been extended up to November 30th, 2022.
