Starting from the academic year 2024-25, students aiming to pursue BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM undergraduate courses will need to take a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission. The application process for the CET opens on Thursday, March 21, 2024. This new requirement applies to all students seeking admission to these courses.

To facilitate the application process, the State Common Entrance Examination Board has made the CET syllabus and information booklet available on its official website, www.mahacet.org. Candidates, along with their parents and institutions, can access this information to prepare adequately for the test.

The CET dates will be finalized soon and published on the official website for the convenience of candidates and their parents. Students must check the website frequently for any updates.

Commenting on the introduction of the CET for undergraduate courses, Professor Jateen Shah, a respected figure in education, remarked, “Now even the competition for undergraduate courses will intensify. Previously, this level of testing was primarily for professional and post-graduate courses.

Some private coaching classes may charge high fees to prepare students for the new CET.
