In a bid to enhance passenger convenience, the Pune Railway Division has recently opened a new waiting hall for sleeper class passengers at Pune Railway station.

This development was made possible through the efforts of Divisional Railway Manager Indu Rani Dubey, who worked tirelessly to bring this facility to fruition.

The waiting hall, which is located on platform number one, was inaugurated by Chief Reservation Supervisor Pune Anil Padale, who is retiring this month. The facility is free of charge and is expected to benefit a large number of passengers who travel in sleeper class.

In addition to the new waiting hall, the division has also made efforts to improve accessibility for differently-abled passengers. The ramp of the old foot over bridge has been modified to allow wheelchairs and battery-operated cars to move from one platform to another with ease. This facility was inaugurated by Venkat More, Chief TNC-Pune, who is also retiring this month.

Passengers who wish to avail these new facilities are advised to approach the Deputy Station Manager (Commercial) office located on Platform No. 1 of Pune station.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of passengers, railway officials, and employees, and was presided over by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh and Station Director Dr. Ramdas Bhise.

With the introduction of these new facilities, the Pune Railway Division is demonstrating its commitment to improving passenger comfort and convenience, and is sure to earn the appreciation of its patrons.
