Newly Elected Corporators Step In to Resolve Water Crisis at Roseland Residency in Pimple Saudagar
Pimpri-Chinchwad: Residents of Roseland Residency faced an acute water shortage after a sudden reduction in supply from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), leading to significant inconvenience within the society.
Acting swiftly, newly elected corporators Shatrughna (Bapu) Kate, Kunda Sanjay Bhise and Anita Sandeep Kate visited the society to review the situation on the ground. They were accompanied by officials from the PCMC Water Supply Department.
As an immediate relief measure, five water tankers, each with a capacity of 10,000 litres, were arranged to meet the urgent requirements of residents. The move provided much-needed relief amid the ongoing shortage.
During the visit, instructions were issued to the concerned PCMC officials to restore and regularise the daily water supply at the earliest. The corporators assured residents of their full cooperation and continued support in resolving the issue permanently.
The coordination for the visit was facilitated by Vikram Shinde, Secretary of Roseland Residency CHS, who played a key role in organising discussions between residents, public representatives and civic authorities.
Chairman Mahesh Chaudhary, members of the management committee and several senior citizens interacted with the corporators and briefed them on the challenges faced by the society. Residents expressed gratitude for the prompt intervention and proactive approach taken by the newly elected representatives.
Special appreciation was extended to Mrs Babita, Sharad Jadhav and Chandan Chaurisia for their continuous follow-up and efforts during the crisis.
With summer approaching, residents also emphasised the need for preventive steps to avoid similar situations in the future. Chandan Chaurisia urged the society and its members to adopt proactive water conservation measures.
Suggested Water-Saving Measures:
- Encourage installation of aerators in taps to reduce water consumption.
- Repair all leakages, especially in flush tanks.
- Reuse RO reject water for mopping floors and washing vehicles.
- Closely monitor overhead and underground water tanks to prevent overflow and wastage during distribution.
- Educate domestic staff about responsible water usage.
The timely response from public representatives and active participation from residents helped stabilise the situation, highlighting the importance of coordination in addressing civic concerns effectively.
