When asked to choose between her husband, Mukesh Ambani, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she responded with a clever quip: “Prime Minister Modi ji is good for the nation, and my husband Mukesh is good for my home,” earning cheers and laughter from the crowd. The conference, held on February 15 and 16, was organized by Harvard University students to explore India’s role in business, policy, and culture. Nita Ambani, wearing an elegant navy blue saree, stood out not only for her style but also for her impactful contributions.
A pre-event announcement highlighted her work through the Reliance Foundation, benefiting nearly 80 million lives in areas such as education, healthcare, sports, women’s empowerment, and disaster management. It also recognized her historic achievement as the first Indian woman elected to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and her role in India’s bid for the 2036 Olympics.
Additionally, Ambani was recently honored with the Governor’s Citation by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey for her outstanding contributions to education, sports, arts, and women’s empowerment.
