Nitin Gadkari Launches Revamped Rajmarg Pravesh Portal For Faster NOC Approvals For Hotels, Rest Rooms And Highway Facilities

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday launched the upgraded RAJMARG PRAVESH web portal, aimed at ensuring a smoother, faster and more transparent process for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for facilities along National Highways.
The revamped portal will enable hassle-free online approvals for fuel stations, wayside amenities, rest area complexes, connecting roads, private properties and other infrastructure projects requiring access permissions from National Highways. The initiative is part of the government’s broader push to improve ease of doing business and enhance digital governance.
Developed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the upgraded RAJMARG PRAVESH platform allows citizens, businesses and organisations to submit applications online for permissions related to highway access for private properties, industries and wayside facilities.
In addition, both government and private agencies can use the portal to obtain approvals for laying utilities such as water pipelines, gas pipelines, optical fibre cables, electrical lines and other essential services along or across National Highways.
Officials said the new system will ensure time-bound processing, improved transparency and reduced procedural delays, helping applicants save both time and effort while tracking approvals digitally.
Senior officials present at the launch included Secretary (RTH) V. Umashankar, DG (Road Development) & Special Secretary Vinay Kumar Rajawat, Chairman of National Highways Authority of India Santosh Kumar Yadav, Managing Director of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited Krishan Kumar, Member (Admin) NHAI Vishal Chauhan, and other senior ministry officials.
