Online RTE admissions begins today in Maharashtra

Starting from today, On 1st March, Wednesday, the student registration for the 25 percent reserved seats in private schools for children from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections under the Right to Education Act (RTE) will begin. The last date for online applications is 17 March.

The announcement was made by Sharad Gosavi, director of the Directorate of Primary Education, through a press release. The decision to start student registration was made after the completion of the school registration process for RTE admissions. Parents were eagerly waiting for the announcement of the registration date for their children.

This year, a total of 1 lakh 1 thousand 926 seats are available for admission in 8 thousand 827 schools under the RTE admission process. The school education department has issued instructions to accept the child’s Aadhaar card for admission, and parents can apply for the same from March 1 to March 17.

The online application and admission process can be accessed on the official website, which also provides information on the required documents. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to ensure their children get access to quality education, and we encourage them to make use of this opportunity, added Gosavi.
