Pimpri Chinchwad – A horrifying incident of child sexual assault has emerged from the Moshi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old man. The MIDC Bhosari police took the suspect into custody following a complaint filed by the victim’s family.
The accused, identified as Ramu Kunjal Nisad, allegedly lured a 7-year-old girl into his residence in Shivshambho Colony, Vinayaknagar, on the evening of April 2. According to police reports, Nisad sexually assaulted the child and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
The brutality continued the following morning, April 3, when the suspect attempted to assault the minor again. However, the victim’s mother and aunt witnessed the act through a window, intervening immediately to rescue the child.
Following the discovery, the victim’s mother approached the MIDC Bhosari Police Station. Authorities moved swiftly to apprehend Nisad. A case has been registered under several stringent sections of the law:
- Indian Penal Code (IPC): Sections 64 (1), 65 (2), 74, and 351.
- POCSO Act: Sections 4, 6, and 8 (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences).
Local Outrage
The incident has sparked significant tension and outrage in the Moshi locality. Residents have expressed deep shock over the depravity of the act, which occurred in a residential neighborhood. Local community leaders and citizens are demanding the fast-tracking of the case and the strictest possible legal punishment for the accused.
“This is an outrageous incident that casts a shadow over humanity. We are committed to ensuring justice is served swiftly,” stated a representative from the local police department.
The MIDC Bhosari police are currently conducting further investigations into the matter.
