Palash Muchhal Breaks Silence After Smriti Mandhana Confirms Wedding Cancellation, Addresses Rumours in Emotional Post
Soon after Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana officially announced the cancellation of her wedding, musician and composer Palash Muchhal shared an emotional note on Instagram, reacting to the intense speculation circulating on social media. The couple was scheduled to marry on November 23, but the ceremony was initially said to be postponed due to “family reasons.”

However, once Mandhana confirmed that the wedding had been called off, online discussions and unverified claims surged, with some accounts alleging that Muchhal was involved in another relationship. Amid rising rumours, Muchhal finally chose to speak out, admitting that the wedding had indeed been cancelled and that he had decided to move forward in life.
What Palash Muchhal Said in His Post
In his heartfelt message, Muchhal wrote that he had chosen to “move ahead” and distance himself from personal matters that had become the subject of widespread speculation.
“I have decided to move forward in my life and step away from my personal relationships. It has been extremely difficult to see people react so casually to baseless rumours about something that is sacred to me,” he said.
Calling the phase “the toughest” of his life, Muchhal added that he intended to face it by holding on to his beliefs.
He further appealed to the public and media to show restraint before reacting to unverified information:
“I truly hope that as a society we learn to pause before speaking about someone based on sources that are never really known. Words can hurt in ways we may never understand.”
His post has since gone viral, with fans urging privacy and compassion for both individuals as they navigate this difficult period.
