Palkhi 2025: Pune Zilla Parishad Launches Mobile App ‘Toiletseva’ To Ensure Clean Sanitation For Warkaris
Pune | Correspondent : To ensure clean and safe sanitation facilities for the lakhs of devotees participating in the Ashadhi Wari during Palkhi 2025, the Pune Zilla Parishad has launched a special mobile application named ‘Toiletseva’. This initiative, conceptualised by Pune Zilla Parishad’s Chief Executive Officer Gajanan Patil, is being seen as a significant step toward improving hygiene standards during the religious event.
As part of the initiative, mobile toilet units have been installed at various locations along the Palkhi routes. The breakdown is as follows:
- Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Route: 1,800 toilets
- Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Route: 1,200 toilets
- Sant Sopandev Maharaj Palkhi Route: 300 toilets
To manage these facilities efficiently, a dedicated mobile application has been developed. The Toiletseva app provides the following key features:
- Real-time status and location of each toilet
- Hygiene updates and usage tracking
- Information on the availability of water, electricity, access roads, and cleanliness
- Detailed usage analytics for each facility
- Option for citizens to submit feedback and suggestions
Each toilet has been equipped with a QR code scanner, which can be scanned using a smartphone to instantly access all relevant information about that particular toilet.
The Toiletseva app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Devotees are encouraged to download and use the app to share their feedback and help maintain sanitation standards.
This initiative by the Pune Zilla Parishad highlights the use of modern technology to enhance the spiritual and physical well-being of pilgrims.
