Pune | June 20, 2025: To prepare the Vision Document for Viksit Maharashtra 2047, a state-wide citizen survey is being conducted to gather public opinion, expectations, priorities, and aspirations across 16 key sectors. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar has appealed to all citizens to actively participate in the survey by scanning the QR code provided and contributing their views to shape the future of Maharashtra.
The government has assured that no personal data of participating citizens will be collected during the survey. Citizens can register their feedback at: https://wa.link/o93s9m.
The initiative is in line with the central government’s India@2047 vision, declared during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, with an aim to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. Maharashtra has set its own target to become a $1 trillion economy by 2029 and a $5 trillion economy by 2047.
As part of the state’s 150-day action plan announced by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis (from May 6 to October 2, 2025), the Vision Document includes short, medium, and long-term goals. Sixteen sector-specific groups have been formed to draft this vision, which include:
- Agriculture
- Education
- Health
- Rural Development
- Urban Development
- Land and Water Resources
- Infrastructure
- Finance
- Industry
- Services
- Social Development
- Security
- Soft Power
- Technology
- Human Development
- Manpower Management
Each group will consult experts and institutions—both governmental and non-governmental—to prepare a roadmap focused on progressiveness, sustainability, inclusiveness, and good governance.
The citizen survey was officially launched by CM Fadnavis on June 17, 2025. All government offices—from Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors to village-level heads—have been instructed to install banners in visible areas to encourage public participation.
Citizens are urged to use the QR code or provided link and play an active role in shaping a developed Maharashtra.
