Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced the rescheduling of examinations to accommodate the departure of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s palkhi processions from Pune city.

In response to this event, the university will provide a revised exam schedule on its official website. Furthermore, special examinations will be arranged for students who cannot attend the regular exams due to the palkhi procession between June 14 and June 16 in the Saswad area.

Dr. Mahesh Kakade, Director of the Examination and Evaluation Board at the university, has issued a circular notifying students of the changes. The summer session exams for March 2023 began on June 6, with the original exam schedule already announced. However, considering the requests from affiliated colleges, the university has decided to reschedule exams on June 12 and 13 to align with the palanquin’s departure from Pune city.

To ensure students have access to updated information, the revised exam timetable will be published on the university’s official website. Students unable to appear for the regular exams due to the palanquin procession will be eligible for a special examination. They must submit their applications through their respective colleges, and the examination department will verify the necessary documents and process the applications to ensure that no student is deprived of the opportunity to take the special examination.
