Passengers Question AC Charges as Broken Door Found in Hadapsar–Nagpur Special Train
Pune, November 4: Passengers travelling on Train No. 01202 Hadapsar–Nagpur Special on Tuesday were left shocked after discovering that the door of the 3-Tier A/C coach (B1) was broken and kept aside, with a bedsheet being used as a makeshift cover.
The incident has raised serious questions about passenger safety, maintenance standards, and the quality of services provided in A/C compartments despite the higher ticket fares. Travelers expressed frustration, pointing out that they are charged for air-conditioned comfort but are forced to travel in poorly maintained coaches.
Photos shared by passengers show the damaged door and the temporary cover, sparking criticism on social media and tagging railway authorities to take immediate action.
Passengers are urging the Indian Railways and IRCTC to ensure regular inspections of long-distance trains and address such issues promptly to maintain safety and service standards.
