PCMC launches Property Tax Recovery Campaign

The tax collection department of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has launched a vigorous campaign to recover arrears of Property tax. 

The department has issued notices to defaulters to pay their outstanding taxes, and has warned that those who do not respond will have their names listed out on the notice boards of their respective housing societies, and their names will also be announced over loudspeakers.

” If taxes are not paid by defaulters then we will take strict action against them. The last resort will be to disconnect their water connection of their flats,” said Nilesh Deshmukh, assistant commissioner, PCMC. The tax collection department has issued pre-seizure notices to the defaulters he added. 

For now, out of a total of 2 thousand 804 properties, 406 properties have been seized and sealed.
