The corporation plans to increase the index of the city and has been taking a number of steps in this direction.

On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, a survey of hawkers in Pimpri Chinchwad city has been started.  The survey which began on November 1 will go on till November 30, 2022. As per Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, the survey will be done biometrically and will be free of charge.  Hawkers should link their mobile number to the Aadhar card and participate in the survey.

The survey will be helpful for better planning and management, said authorities concerned. This is an online survey and so, the OTP received on the mobile number of the  hawker during the survey is important and it is survey enumerator of thr Corporation.

As per the authorities,  the survey can be done from 8 am to 10pm.

A scanned copy of Aadhar card, first and last page of the ration card scanned on a single page and caste certificate should be kept ready by the hawker before starting the survey.

It is necessary to have a copy of supporting evidence for disabled, divorced or widowed women.

Hawkers who have a ‘street vendor’ certificate should submit the same.

If any action has been taken by the encroachment department in the past, the receipt of the relevant penalty must be attached.

At the time of survey, the hawkers must possess documents such as a copy of the letter of recommendation from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation or the document of receipt of PM Self Fund loan and the pass issued to the hawkers on behalf of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation during the period of COVID -19.

“It is important that the Aadhar number is linked to the mobile number. If hawkers do not have an Aadhar number, they can go to a nearest centre and get it done,” said Assistant Commissioner of Lands and Life Department Prashant Joshi. The Municipal Corporation has plans to increase the index of the city and the role of citizens and hawkers is important in this aspect.

In this regard, the survey of hawkers is being conducted. On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, Joshi has appealed to the hawkers to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation.
