Pune: Pearl Drop School ICSE & ISC marked the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and national pride, hosting a vibrant celebration on its campus. The event was graced by renowned social worker Shri Bharat (Appa) Chaudhari as the chief guest, whose presence added inspiration and meaning to the occasion.
The Republic Day programme commenced with a dignified Guard of Honour presented by the school band, setting a solemn and patriotic tone. This was followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag and the collective reading of the Republic Day pledge by students and staff, reaffirming their commitment to the values of the Indian Constitution.
Students of Pearl Drop School captivated the audience with a series of well-coordinated performances that reflected unity, discipline, and patriotism. Highlights included an impressive pyramid formation symbolising national strength, energetic patriotic dance performances, thought-provoking speeches, and a melodious medley of patriotic songs rendered by the teachers. Each performance was warmly applauded by parents, guests, and faculty members.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Bharat (Appa) Chaudhari spoke about the importance of Republic Day in strengthening democratic values and encouraging responsible citizenship among the youth. School dignitaries also shared inspiring messages, urging students to uphold the ideals of justice, equality, and unity enshrined in the Constitution of India.
The 77th Republic Day celebration at Pearl Drop School concluded on a high note with the singing of Vande Mataram, followed by the distribution of sweets to students, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and joy.
