A citizen asked, “As parents we are worried about Cyber threat…How can parents protect their children from online threats?”

The Commissioner responded, “Open communication, educating them on responsible social media use & most importantly, using available parental controls will go a long way..”

A citizen, pointing at the beginning of a cyber fraud, said ‘They start like this’ The Commissioner responded “#BeCyberSmart like Somnath.. Spread awareness in our own way and instead of ‘reverse-scamming’ the scamsters, let’s just block & report”.

A citizen asked “Sir, a large number of cars and bikes drive on the wrong side of the road. They cause traffic jams and dangerous situations. How is this problem being solved?”

The Commissioner responded “Noted. We have been taking action on wrong-side driving on a daily basis as per citizens’ feedback. This year, till date 5540 challans have been issued for the same. Action will be intensified.”

A citizen requested “People are using the BRTS route as a racing track. I never saw any traffic police at Punawale junction to stop these racing cars. They hit vehicles at signals at this speed and also fight with them. Please arrange a few traffic police.”

The Commissioner responded, “BRTS violations are being noted. Around 3000 actions have been taken on vehicles indulging in dangerous driving in BRTS lanes. Specific location indicated in your tweet will be notified to the respective traffic team.”

An X handle, showing a message about Cyber Fraud said, “I get these messages every day. Here is one from today”

The Commissioner responded “Good job. Online Task Frauds are on the rise & we all need to be vigilant. #BeCyberSmart like ‘naam mein kya rakha hai’..!”

A citizen asked, “What measures are you going to take to prevent the daily traffic jams in Punawale?” The Commissioner responded, “’Height Barrier’ is being installed at the mentioned place..We are taking regular action at the said place..We are taking permanent measures soon by contacting other related government institutions.”

A citizen asked “Hello sir. What solutions are getting implemented to stop the rising crime among young children? What are the measures we are taking to prevent children who are attracted to fighting and terrorizing?”

The Commissioner responded “As long-term measures are needed, an innovative initiative called ‘Disha’ has been launched for the bright future of children. Under this initiative, we are counselling them and training 550 children in football and other sports.”

A citizen requested “Hello Sir, in PCMC or Pune City anyone can observe that traffic signal positions are not consistent. Commuters have to search for it. Only daily commuters are aware of the signal position. At times they are hidden behind Posters, outgrown trees. Request attention.”

The Commissioner responded “Noted. Traffic Department and Municipal Corporation are being informed to review and address the issue on priority.”

Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey ended the session by tweeting “Thank you for sharing your feedback, concerns and inputs today. The questions I could not address during the session today will be reviewed & shared with the concerned teams for necessary action.. Jai Hind..”
