Thousands of followers will gather for the Jaystambha salutation programme which will be held on January 1 at Perne near Koregaon Bhima. Therefore, changes have been made to the traffic on the Pune-Nagar highway to avoid traffic congestion. Accordingly, the Pune Traffic Department has appealed to the passengers and drivers to cooperate.

From Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad city, all types of vehicles going to Ahmednagar via Nagar Road (except Jayastambha visitors) should use the following alternative route from 2 pm on December 31 to 12 midnight on January 1:

· Motorists going from Pune side to Ahmednagar side, from Kharadi Bypass take a right turn to Mundhwa Chowk, Magarpatta Chowk, take a left turn on Solapur Highway Road to Kedgaon Chauphula, Nawara, Shirur via Nagar Road.

· Motorists going to Alandi, Chakan from Solapur Road should take a right turn at Hadapsar, Magarpatta Chowk and go to Alandi and Chakan from Vishrantwadi via Kharadi Bypass.

· Heavy traffic from Mumbai to Ahmednagar side will go to Ahmednagar via Vadgaon, Maval, Chakan, Khed, Manchar, Narayangaon, and Alephata.

· Light vehicles (cars, jeeps) going to Ahmednagar’s side from Mumbai will go to Ahmednagar via Vadgaon, Maval, Chakan, Khed, Pabal, and Shirur.

· Motorists going to the city from Mantarwadi Phata, Magarpatta Chowk via Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, and Katraj should take Pune Solapur Highway from Hadapsar to Nagar Road via Kedgaon Chauphula, Nhavra, Shirur.

· Alandi Tulapur bridge over Indrayani River has been closed for heavy vehicles on January 10 2022 so only light four-wheeler vehicles of followers will be allowed from this place. Followers’ heavy vehicles should use Chakan-Shikrapur road.

· Heavy traffic going to Vishrantwadi via Vishrantwadi Lohegaon and Vishrantwadi via Wagholi.
