In a highly devotional and auspicious atmosphere, along with a storm of firecrackers and the thunderous chants of ‘Jai Siyaram’, more than 5 lakh Pimpri-Chinchwad Shri Ram devotees participated and made Maharashtra’s largest Chariot procession (Rath Yatra) a success.

On Sunday evening (21 st January), a grand ‘Rath Yatra’ was organized in Pimpri-Chinchwad on the initiative of Hindutva MLA Mahesh Landge on the occasion of consecration of Lord Ram temple in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya and Lord Ram idol installation. Ram devotees gave it a huge response.

Mahesh Landge, BJP MLA, Bhosari constituency, said “Lord Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Shrikshetra Ayodhya will be penned in golden letters in history. Lord Ram Mandir, the link of Hinduism and Akhand India, will be an inspiration for thousands of generations to come. On this auspicious occasion, Pimpri-Chinchwad is very happy. Best wishes to all Indians on this historic occasion. I appeal everyone to keep Ram in your hearts.”

Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi did the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya and the Lord Ram idol was installed. There is an atmosphere of celebration and joy all over the country for this. MLA Landge had organized various religious, spiritual and cultural activities in Pimpri-Chinchwad for the past seven days.

Rath Yatra started from Bhakti-Shakti Chowk in Nigdi. Thousands of two-wheelers and four-wheelers, four Vijay Raths, Ram temple replicas, games, live performances, Ganga Aarti, Kalash Yatra, Fireworks & much more were presented to create awareness about Hinduism.
