Pune:The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police has announced that, at 30 blockade points in Pimpri Chinchwad, there will be strict monitoring & vigilance of the Traffic Police on New Year’s Eve i.e. the night of  December 31, 2023 (Sunday).

As per information from the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, to welcome the New Year, many citizens tend to go out of their homes and organize parties till midnight. Citizens often endanger their lives and others by driving under the influence of alcohol.

Hence, to prevent all these mishaps, a strict blockade has been planned at 30 places on behalf of the Pimpri-Chinchwad police on the night of December 31.

Every driver will be thoroughly interrogated at the checkpoints and breath samples will be tested with the help of breathalyzer machines. Every driver who drives under the influence of alcohol will be booked and their vehicle will be impounded.

No one should drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Also, on behalf of the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, an appeal is being made to welcome the New Year with enthusiasm but calmly, obeying the law and maintaining peace.
