Pimpri-Chinchwad, June 25, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has urged property owners to clear their property tax dues before June 30, the last date to avail various rebates and concessions offered by the civic body.

Officials said taxpayers can benefit from discounts ranging from 5% to 50%, depending on eligibility and mode of payment. Those who pay their property tax before the deadline can avail a 5% rebate, while an additional 5% concession is available for online payments.

The civic body is also offering special benefits to specific categories of property owners. Residential properties owned by women are eligible for a 30% concession. Persons with disabilities can receive a 50% rebate on one property, while freedom fighters, war widows, and wives of serving or retired soldiers are also entitled to a 50% concession on one residential property.

In an effort to encourage sustainable practices, PCMC has introduced additional incentives for housing societies and institutions that adopt environmentally friendly initiatives. Projects equipped with facilities such as sewage treatment plants, composting units, zero-waste systems, and green building features can qualify for tax benefits.

According to the Taxation and Tax Collection Department, a large number of property owners have already taken advantage of the rebate scheme. However, many taxpayers are yet to pay their dues, and officials have appealed to them to do so before the deadline.

Civic officials noted that property tax is a major source of revenue used for providing essential services and carrying out development works, including road construction, water supply, sanitation, healthcare facilities, parks, and other public infrastructure projects.

PCMC representatives have urged citizens to contribute to the city’s development by paying their taxes on time. Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi stated that lakhs of property owners have already benefited from the rebate scheme and encouraged remaining taxpayers to clear their dues without delay.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of the Taxation and Tax Collection Department, Sachin Pawar, warned that recovery proceedings against defaulters will begin from July 1. The process may include issuing notices, property attachment, and other legal measures as permitted under municipal regulations.

The civic body has advised all eligible property owners to make use of the available concessions before June 30 and avoid enforcement action.
