Pune, June 21, 2025: A chilling act of violence was caught on CCTV in Pimpri Chinchwad, where a man brutally attacked a security guard at a residential society. The incident, which occurred at the entrance gate of Shantiban Society in Chinchwadgaon, has sent shockwaves across the community.
According to police reports, the assailant, identified as Ram Londhe, initially engaged in a casual conversation with the security guard, Sudam Kamithe, before suddenly pulling out a knife and stabbing him in the abdomen. The attack didn’t stop there — Londhe then snatched a cement block and struck Kamithe on the head in an apparent attempt to kill him.
The entire assault was recorded on a CCTV camera installed at the society gate. The footage has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread outrage and concern over the safety of security personnel.
Police revealed that Londhe had previously worked as a housekeeping staff member at the society but was terminated due to his alleged substance abuse. Authorities suspect that he carried out the attack in retaliation for being removed from his job.
On the night of the incident, Londhe reportedly tried to forcefully enter the society. When Kamithe stopped him, a verbal altercation ensued. In a sudden escalation, Londhe launched the violent attack. Despite being seriously injured, Kamithe attempted to defend himself using a cement block, but Londhe overpowered him and used the same block against him.
Kamithe is currently undergoing medical treatment, while Londhe has been arrested within hours of the incident. Further investigation is underway.
