Pimpri Chinchwad takes on the spot action against four wheelers with tinted vehicle glasses

Pimpri-Chinchwad: Pimpri Chinchwad city police have started the drive to crack down on people if they have tinted glass on their four-wheelers as this is against the law.  

The Pimpri Chinchwad police raised 4843 challans and collected fines of upto ₹40.31 lakhs in the last week.

As per a tweet in the official handle of the Pimpri Chinchwad city police – “We are taking a #ZeroTolerance approach to CARS with BLACK FILMED GLASSES..! Be warned: We’ll issue CHALLAN & REMOVE the film at the spot.” 

Speaking about the action, Satish Mane, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Pimpri Chinchwad said, “We have received instructions from Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate office to take strict action against people violating traffic rules. Therefore, we are taking action against four-wheeler drivers for putting tinted films on the vehicle glass and we are removing it on the spot. We appeal to all four wheeler owners to follow the rules and not use tinted films.”
