The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police have announced changes in traffic due to Shiv Sankalp Abhiyan Mela on 6th January.
As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, several VIPs will attend Shiv Sankalp Abhiyan Mela at Mukai Chowk, Kiwale, Dehu Road.
Since a large number of activists, representatives and other citizens will attend the event, some roads for vehicular traffic on the said route will be closed.
Hence, in order to ensure safe and smooth traffic in Pimpri Chinchwad city, any previous restrictions are being canceled and the following temporary traffic changes are being made:
• The road from Mukai Chowk to Adarsh Nagar will remain closed to all vehicular traffic (except event vehicles).
> Alternative Route – Vehicles going to Adarsh Nagar from Pune side will proceed from Dehu Road Bazar via Vikas Nagar to the desired destination.
• The route from Shinde Petrol Pump to Mukai Chowk will be closed for all types of vehicles (except event vehicles).
> Alternate Route – Vehicles coming from Mumbai side will take Left Side Service Road from HP Petrol Pump at Samir Lawns Underpass and proceed to the desired destination via Rawet Gavthan.
• Entry closed to all vehicles coming from Kiwale Chowk at Rawet exit from Mumbai-Pune Expressway (excluding event vehicles).
> Alternate Route – Vehicles coming from Mumbai side will take Left Side Service Road from HP Petrol Pump at Samir Lawns Underpass and proceed to the desired destination via Rawet Gavthan.
• All vehicles going from Pune to Mumbai will be prohibited from approaching Krishna Hotel Chowk via Sameer Lawn side (except event vehicles).
> Alternate Route – People will travel from Expressway to Mumbai
• The side road leading from Kiwale Bus Stand to Vitthal Hotel Puncture will be closed for all vehicles. (Excluding event vehicles)
> Alternate Route – Vehicles coming from Mumbai side will take left side service road from HP Petrol Pump From Samir Lawns Underpass take a left turn and proceed to the desired destination via Ravet Gavthan
• The route from Mawla Putla to Vitthal Hotel Puncture and Krishna Chowk Hotel Santosa Puncture will be closed for all types of vehicles. (Excluding event vehicles)
> Alternate Route – All types of vehicles coming from Kiwale village will go to their destination via Samir Lawns underpass instead of Krishna Hotel Chowk.
However, from the morning of 6/1/2024 as mentioned above, within the limits of Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate, from 9:00 am, temporary traffic diversions (excluding essential service vehicles e.g. Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade, Petrol, Diesel Tanker, PMPML buses, school buses) are being issued.
