PMC begins to repair CCTV installed
in Wanowrie
Pune Pulse had published a story on January 21, 2023 in its Kondhwa Wanowrie edition about the dysfunctional CCTV surveillance systems in the Wanowrie and the bylanes were found to be defunct. The residents of the area informed that the PMC had failed to maintain the CCTV’s. On March 2, 2023 the PMC staff was seen working on the CCTV’s in the area and repairing them.
When Pune Pulse spoke to Mangesh Misal, electrical engineer, Pune Municipal Corporation, he said, “There were about 20 CCTV’s out of 43 which were not working for various reasons such as cable fault, tree felling incidents on these cables and other technical faults. But, PMC has now started repairing these CCTV’s and by this weekend all the CCTV’s will be functional.”
