PMC Cracks Down on Sonography Centers: 14 Facilities Sealed in Two Months in Pune
PUNE: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)’s Health Department has taken action against 14 sonography centres within a span of two months. These centres were sealed for a period of two to seven days due to discrepancies found. If the centres fail to comply with the guidelines, further action will be taken.
As per the information received, the Health Department has a total of 776 registered sonography centers. Whenever discrepancies are found during inspections, notices are issued to the centres.
While talking to Pune Pulse, Suryakant Deokar, Chief Immunisation Officer, added, ”This action has been taken due to incomplete submission of documents, non-filling of the F form, etc. Centres will be sealed for two to seven days.”
An advisory committee holds discussions, and decisions are made regarding the necessary actions to be taken.
The following were the discrepancies found:
Incomplete record book, Non-filling of Form F, Not sending the monthly report on time, Incomplete documents and Lack of the signature of the doctor or the pregnant woman
