PMC gives compensation to kin of workers who died due to Covid19

Pune Municipal Corporation had announced compensation of Rs 25 lakh and job to the kin of employees who lost their life due to Covid19.

Till December 2020, total 51 staff members (including 47 permanent and 4 contract) lost their life due to Covid 19. On March 31, 2021 the family members of the deceased were handed over Rs 25 lakh. On this day, 5 such families were handed over the cheque of Rs 25 lakh, shawl and appreciation certificate were given at the PMC headquarter. 
These kins of the deceased person are also given Corona Vishanu Pratibandh and Upchar Suraksha Kavach Yojana. PMC is the first Municipal Corporation to have given this kind of compensation to Covid19 warriors.

The programme saw presence of Leader of House Ganesh Bidkar, Hemant Rasne, standing committee chairman, Dipali Dhumal, leader of opposition, Pruthviraj Sutar, Sunita Wadkar, Ajay Khedekar, PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal, and many others.
