PMC to hold heritage walk between April 30 and May 7

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has organized a Heritage Walk between 30 April and 7 May 2023, to promote the historical significance of the city’s iconic structures. The initiative aims to provide an opportunity for the citizens of Pune and tourists to experience the beauty and grandeur of the historical structures located between Shaniwarwada and Vishrambagwada.

The walk will start from Delhi Darwaza at Shaniwarwada, Pune, at 7.00 am. Expert guides will accompany the participants and provide information and identification of the 11 historical structures along the way. The heritage walk will be a perfect opportunity for the participants to learn about the rich history and culture of Pune and understand its significance in shaping India’s cultural heritage.

The PMC’s heritage walk initiative is a part of its efforts to promote cultural tourism and attract visitors to the city. The PMC has been working towards restoring and preserving the city’s heritage structures and has taken several initiatives to promote them among citizens and tourists. The Heritage Walk is one such initiative that aims to showcase the rich cultural and historical heritage of Pune to the world.
