PMPML Electric Bus Gutted in Fire at Chakan MIDC; Around 50 Passengers Escape Unhurt
Pune: A major incident was reported on Friday morning (February 13) at the Chakan MIDC area near Pune, where a PMPML electric bus carrying workers suddenly caught fire.
According to initial information, nearly 50 passengers were on board when smoke was noticed coming from the bus. Sensing danger, the driver and conductor acted promptly and stopped the vehicle immediately. All passengers were safely evacuated before the situation worsened.
Within minutes, the fire spread rapidly and the bus was completely destroyed in the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
