PMPML launches cashless facility for bus passes at pass centers

Pune: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) has introduced a cashless facility of bus passes at PMPML pass centers from October 23. Now, passengers will be able to pay for passes through QR codes at all 40 pass centers of the PMPML.
Sachindra Pratap Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, PMPML said, “Maximum number of commuters should use the cashless facility introduced at the pass centers of PMPML. A cashless facility facilitates the work and helps in speeding up the work.”
As per further information from PMPML, the cashless payment facility will not affect the existing pass-sale facilities.
The cashless facility was inaugurated in the presence of PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar and PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Sachindra Pratap Singh.
Vikram Kumar, PMC Commissioner, said, “The new generation is using cashless facilities more. A new generation of cashless facilities launched by PMPML will be beneficial. The cashless facility introduced by PMPML for tickets and passes is certainly commendable.”
Various types of passes are sold from all pass centers of PMPML. The transport corporation receives an average income of Rs 5 crore per month from the sale of passes. On average, 60,000 passes are sold.
On this occasion, Vikas Dhakane, Additional Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation, Nitin Narvekar, Joint Managing Director of PMPML along with Asha Kotasthane, Regional Head of Central Bank of India, Ajay Vajpayee, Chief Manager, Manoj Kumar Sinha Branch Head, Satish Gavhane, Chief Transport Manager (Operations) PMPML, Satish Gate, PMPML Public Liaison Officer, Narayan Karde, Traffic Planning and Traffic Officer, Vijay Ranjane, Traffic Planning Officer (IT), Nivrutti Bhande, Chief Engineer, Vikas Mate, Head of Pass Department, Sameer Anwar, Head of Private Bus Department, Ashok Sable, Head of Accident Department, Rajkumar Mane, Central Workshop Works Manager, Sanjay Kusalkar, Pune Station Depot Manager, Santosh Kirve, Depot Manager were present.
Cashless payment will take place through the following method:
· Request a QR code from an employee at the pass center
· Do an online payment by scanning the QR code
· Obtain the pass from an employee at a pass center
