Pune: State excise raid seizes Gavathi liquor worth Rs 2.68 Lakh in Mahalunge

Pune: In a recent operation conducted by the State Excise Pune Division, goods worth approximately Rs. 2,68,200 were seized based on confidential information.

During the raid, liquor valued at around Rs. 43,200, stored in 12 plastic cans with a capacity of 35 litres each, was confiscated from a Santro car estimated at Rs. 2,25,000. 

The search for the absconding accused involved in this crime is ongoing. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 65 (A)(E) of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949. Inspector Sachin Srivastava is leading further investigation efforts.

The operation was carried out by a team led by Inspector Sachin Srivastava of Division D, along with Sub Inspector Vijay Suryavanshi, Sheetal Deshmukh, Sagar Dhruve, and jawan Sanjay Gore, Raju Pote, Shubham Mundhe, and driver Raut.
