PMPML to utilise its old buses as hearse vans

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Private Limited (PMPML) has decided to use its old buses (4 in PMC and 2 in PCMC) as hearse vans. The increasing number of deaths in Covid 19 patients in Pune as well as Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has put a burden on the movement of such patients who lost their lives due to Covid19.

Dr Rajendra Jagtap, chairman and managing director, PMPML informed that in addition to the already available service of PUSHPAK for non covid regular service, additional 4 buses in PMC and 2 buses in PCMC shall be added to the service. With request from PMC, due to more number of deaths,  additional 6 buses provided as SHAV-VAHIKA for covid cremation, 3 from today and additional 3 from tomorrow.
