PMPML’s ‘Pune Darshan’ bus ensures you have amazing time exploring tourist places

Pune: Every year Pune attracts a huge number of tourists to see the places of religious and historical importance. And to enhance the travelling experience of the tourists and to promote and strengthen cultural heritage of the city Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) had started a special bus service under ‘Pune Darshan’. 

This initiative gets a very good response from tourists as the bus includes a tourist guide to give information about the places. This ‘Pune Darshan’ bus covers 25 kms and 18 spots in a day. 

Surykant Sakat, Pune Darshan driver said, “I am working in PMT and now in PMPML for the last 29 years. And I have experience in Pune Drashan service for the last seven years. Through this bus we take the passengers to historical monuments, gardens, temples and tourist spot for visit. PMPML provides the service for ₹ 500 per head in an AC bus. Tourists come from various states and countries to Pune and we as tourist guide give information about the places in Hindi and English if required.”

“On weekends this Pune Darshan bus gets a very good response. Bus has the capacity to carry 35 passengers. Citizens can register online or offline at Deccan and Pune station bus stop,” said Dattatray Zende of PMPML.

PMPML Pune Darshan covers 14 tourist spots in Pune :  Kesari wada, Shaniwar wada, Kelkar Museum, Chaturshrungi temple, Joshi Railway Museum, P L Deshpande Garden, Saras baug, Rajiv Gandhi zoo, Shinde chhatri, War Museum, Agakhan Palace, Ballaji Temple/ Baneshwar/ Kondhanpur, Film Institute Prabhat Road and Sachin Tendulkar Cricket Museum.
