Poorly maintained washrooms at Pune airport grabs netizens’ attention 

The video posted by an X user has unveiled the poor maintenance of washrooms at the Pune airport and has urged the government to take corrective measures.

A video on X recently surfaced showcasing the conditions of washrooms at the Pune International Airport. X user Abhishek Singh (@abhi_2311) shot the video of the interiors of the washroom facilities at the Pune airport. 

In his post, he wrote that the treatment of Pune as an orphan city must stop immediately. The international airport is frequented by various national as well as international flyers on a daily basis. The kind of image it leaves in the minds of the people is not appropriate. It leaves a bad impression of the city of Pune in the minds of international travellers in particular. 

As tax paying citizens of this country, we have the right to access a healthy and well-maintained airport to say the least. It is something we rightfully expect as citizens of the city. The government must take action against this sort of maintenance and staff behaviour. 

The video showcases broken cleaning supplies, used tissues lying all over the place and unclean sinks with no hand wash dispensers or tissue boxes. The water is spilled everywhere and it has not been cleaned properly. No staff or janitor is seen around in the video, which brings out the poor maintenance of the airport. 

The user has tagged Devendra Fadnavis and JM Scindia, who have been planning a new airport for Pune. The video is grabbing the attention of many people who are disappointed at the poor maintenance and usage of public funds.
