Power Outage in Shivajinagar and Deccan on February 6 Due to Pune Metro and MahaTransco Electrical Work
Pune, February 4, 2025: Power supply will be interrupted in Shivajinagar and Deccan on Thursday, February 6, from 8 AM to 4 PM due to critical electrical work related to the Pune Metro and MahaTransco’s high-voltage transmission lines on the
Shivajinagar to Hinjewadi Metro route. Three MahaTransco extra high-voltage substations will be temporarily shut down, affecting power distribution in multiple areas under MahaVitaran’s substation network.
The ongoing metro work requires the installation of 132 kV underground transmission lines along the Shivajinagar to Hinjewadi corridor. As a result, power supply from the 220/132 kV Ganeshkhind, Chinchwad, and GKRS (Kothrud) extra high-voltage substations will be disrupted.

Power supply will be disrupted from 8 AM to 4 PM in the following locations:
– Shivajinagar, Deccan, and Nearby Areas:
Ganeshkhind, Model Colony, Deep Bangla Chowk, Wadarwadi, Gokhalenagar, Janata Vasahat, MIG Colony, Vaiduwadi, Janwadi, Vetalbaba Chowk, Mangalwadi, Senapati Bapat Road, Ramanbagh Chowk, New Marathi School, Narayan Peth, Shivajinagar Gaothan, Jangli Maharaj Road, Rokdoba Mandir, Laxmi Road, Kumthekar Chowk, Police Line Colony, Ghole Road, Modern College, Vijay Talkies, Revenue Colony, Simla Office, Akashwani, District Court, Kamgar Putala, Metro Station, Sancheti Hospital.
– Aundh and Surrounding Areas
Thube Park, Aundh Gaon, Siddharth Nagar, Parihar Chowk, Bremen Chowk, Sanghvi Road, Om Super Market, Thorat Chowk.
– Wakdewadi & Nearby Localities:
Wakdewadi, Sakhar Sankul Road, Chafekar Nagar, Akashwani Colony, Rahul Theatre, Khairwadi, Dalvi Hospital, Ashoknagar, Range Hills Road, Kakade Mall, ABIL, Modibaug, Chavan Nagar.

The Metro, MahaTransco, and MahaVitaran authorities have urged citizens to cooperate during the outage. Affected residents have already been notified via SMS alert sent to their registered mobile numbers.
