Private cabs’ pick-up point at airport to be shifted to Aero Mall
Pune: The pick up point for private cabs at Pune International Airport, Lohegaon would be soon shifted to recently inaugrated Aero mall.
Pune Pulse spoke to the airport authorities. “We have served notices to both the cab aggregators pertaining to the same. They are currently co-ordinating with the multi-level parking lots’,” said Pune airport director Santosh Dhoke.
In Aero mall entire floor is designated for pickup cabs. Sixty cabs can be parked there. This will help to de-congest the traffic at airport.
At present, the pickup point of Uber and Ola cabs is a few metres away from the arrival gate. The two bays can accommodate around 15 to 18 cabs at a time. Several cab drivers wait for bookings on different roads outside the airport which can also be averted.
