Provide ropeway facility from Taljai to Parvati ; demands Parvati constituency MLA Madhuri Misal
Parvati legislative assembly member Madhuri Misal recently met Central Minister for Road development Nitin Gadkari and demanded to start a ropeway facility from Taljai to Parvati hill.
She said, “The Public Works Department of the state government should expedite the matter with the Central Government over providing such facility between two hills. I am hopeful that soon a decision is taken over it. Nitin Gadkari has shown willingness to put forth the matter with the central government. Apart from Parvati, I have also suggested ropeway facility at Mahad’s Shri Kedar Janani Devasthan.”
Misal further stated that Gadkari has assured of surveying both the areas and shall send a proposal soon.
Shri Kshetra Parvati is in the South East of Pune and the name has been inspired from Parvatai Devi. The premises has temples of Kartik Swami, Vishnu, Vitthal Rukmini and one has to climb 103 steps to reach to the top. With the ropeway facility even senior citizens can reach easily. Regional tourism plan is being readied under which several projects have been initiated, added Misal.
