Pune, February 23, 2026: Development works worth approximately ₹1.40 crore were inaugurated and initiated across the Shivajinagar constituency, marking a significant boost to local infrastructure and civic amenities. The update was shared on X by Siddharth Shirole, MLA from the Shivajinagar constituency, who highlighted the projects as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen urban facilities and improve residents’ quality of life.
As part of the development programme, a bhoomipujan for road concreting was performed at Vishrambag Housing Society on Senapati Bapat Road, aimed at improving road durability and ensuring smoother, safer commuting for residents. The project is expected to enhance long-term infrastructure quality and reduce recurring maintenance issues in the area.
In Model Colony, beautification works at Lakaki Lake were inaugurated to improve public spaces and promote community engagement. The initiative focuses on enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the locality while creating a more accessible and citizen-friendly environment for daily use and recreation.
Additionally, civic infrastructure upgrades were launched at the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Police Station, where a new waiting area was inaugurated and a bhoomipujan for internal asphalting works was performed. These improvements are aimed at upgrading public facilities and enhancing convenience for citizens visiting the police station.
The projects, collectively valued at around ₹1.40 crore, are expected to deliver long-term benefits by strengthening essential infrastructure and providing tangible relief to residents across Shivajinagar. The development initiatives reflect a continued focus on urban improvement, public convenience and sustainable local development in the constituency.
