Pune: 17-Year-Old Boy Accused of Getting 12-Year-Old Girl Pregnant; Police Launch Investigation
A troubling case has surfaced involving a young boy who is accused of coaxing a schoolgirl into a romantic relationship, which eventually led to sexual intimacy. This situation came to light after it was discovered that the 12-year-old girl is now pregnant. As a result, a complaint has been filed against the minor under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The girl’s mother filed the complaint on Tuesday, December 10, against the 17-year-old boy at the Lonikand police station.
According to police reports, the incidents occurred between August and October 2024, during which the minor allegedly persuaded the girl into a romantic relationship and had sexual relations with her.
After finding out that she was four months pregnant, the victim opened up to her mother about what had happened, which resulted in the complaint being filed at the police station. In response, the Lonikand police have launched a case against the minor under the POCSO Act, and the investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Manoj Bagal.
