In a heartwarming display of creativity and determination, 175 specially abled students participated in a Ganesh idol-making workshop at Apang Kalyankari Shikshan Sanstha in Wanowrie, Pune.

During the workshop, these remarkable students, despite their physical challenges, honed their skills in crafting Ganapati idols from Shadu soil under the guidance of Preeti Kasat. Kasat taught them the intricacies of shaping various body parts of Lord Ganapati, including the legs, stomach, ears, and trunk.

What made this event truly inspiring was the students’ unwavering spirit. Many of them, who don’t have the use of their hands, used their feet to shape and create the idols. The joy and happiness radiated from their faces as they completed their sweet Ganesh idols using their remarkable footwork.

One of the students, who has been a part of Apang Kalyankari Shikshan Sanstha since the first grade and is currently in the 9th grade, shared his feelings about the workshop and the idol-making experience.

He expressed his immense pleasure and satisfaction in being able to create something meaningful despite his physical limitations. This workshop not only nurtured their artistic talents but also instilled a sense of accomplishment and pride in these remarkable individuals.
