Pune : 22 year old entrepreneur Manaswi Kele honored at national level

Pune, February 6, 2024: City’s budding entrepreneur Manaswi Abhay Kele, was honored with the prestigious ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ at the 16th National Convention of The National Real Estate Development Council (NARDECO), which is established under the aegis of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. 

Kele was awarded at the hands of cricket legend Kapil Dev at Taj Palace, New Delhi.

Dignitaries like Jay Morzaria; President, NAREDCO NextGen, Hari Babu; President, NAREDCO, Ravi Reddy; President Elect, NARDECO NextGen, and others were also present on the occasion.

Manaswi Kele, aged 22, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey by founding ‘MyHostelRoom’ under the company Kyozon Hostels Pvt. Ltd. ‘MyHostelRoom’ is a startup that provides premium accommodations to students in and around Pune. The startup has rapidly expanded its footprint, currently operating six hostels across Pune, with a capacity of 400 beds. Kele envisions scaling up to accommodate 2,000 beds by the academic year 2024.

Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Kele expressed, “Though I represented the company while receiving the award, but each credit for the efforts behind running ‘MyHostelRoom’ goes to my team.”

Reflecting on the real estate landscape in Pune, Kele highlighted the need for more attention to upgrading the student housing segment. She said, “Pune’s residential housing has progressed sufficiently in the last 10-15 years. However, there is still a lack of quality accommodation for students.” With various top universities introducing new courses annually, she also stressed upon the importance of addressing the accommodation challenges faced by students migrating to Pune for education.
