The Army Dental Corps celebrated its 83rd Raising Day on 01 February 2024. On the occasion, Maj Gen Sujit Kumar Bhandari, Commandant Command Military Dental Centre (CMDC and Command Dental Adviser, Southern Command greeted all serving pers, their families and veterans of the corps.

From the humble beginning in 1941, the Army Dental Corps is now an elite service of the Indian Armed Forces with more than 750 officers and nearly two thousand five hundred other ranks dedicated to look after the oral health requirements of our soldiers, their dependents and veterans. The dental treatment facilities of the corps are based on a model where prevention of oral and dental disease is given top priority.

The corps, whose mission, ā€œReach the Soldiersā€ underscores its ethos, has been dedicated to provide preventive dental treatment services in the farthest reaches of its brave hearts.

On the occasion of the Raising Day, Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, GOC-in-C, Southern Command complimented all ranks of Army Dental Corps for their unstinted devotion to duty and commitment in providing dental care. He encouraged all the officers and staff of Army Dental Corps posted in southern command zone to continue outstanding services and wished them success in all their endeavours.
