Pune: ACB Nabs Livestock Inspector In Rs 5000 Bribery Case

In Pune, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended a livestock inspector for supposedly soliciting a bribe of ₹5,000 to add an applicant’s name for accessing the benefits of a state government program.
The detained official is known as Bandu Baban Deokar, aged 42, residing in Kude Budruk in Khed taluka. He was apprehended on Tuesday, August 6.
The official initially asked for ₹7,000 but later settled for ₹5,000. The complainant reported the incident to the ACB, Pune, leading to officials setting up a sting operation at the Animal Medical Hospital in Kude Budruk on Tuesday. Deokar was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe.
This action was carried out under the supervision of ACB superintendent Amol Tambe and additional SP Dr Sheetal Janve. A case has been filed at Khed police station, and police inspector Rupesh Jadhav is conducting further investigations into the matter.
