Pune: Pune’s Additional Collector Ajay More has called for coordination among concerned departments to speed up the deemed conveyance process for cooperative housing societies. More directed that the departments work together to complete the transfer process of more organizations in a special campaign.

During a meeting of the district level committee formed regarding the deemed conveyance, More emphasized the need for an integrated online system to make the process easier and faster for all relevant departments, such as cooperatives, stamp and registration department, revenue, and land records. The meeting was attended by Pune city district assistant registrar cooperative society Sanjay Raut, Santosh Hingane, Suryakant More, and many others.

With around 19,500 registered cooperative housing societies in Pune city, about 2,000 of these institutions have already completed deemed conveyance process or transferred by the developer. Additionally, 40 percent of the 175,000 organizations have been transferred, and the cooperative department is making efforts to transfer the remaining institutions.

District Deputy Registrar Sanjay Raut informed the meeting that the stamp and registration department, land record department, and cooperation play an important role in the transfer process. The number of documents required in the deemed conveyance process has been reduced, and organizations can file cases with the District Deputy Registrar’s office. The district sub-registrar’s office gives the order and certificate of transfer of property, and after that, the stamp collector gives the final order of assessment. Following registration with the secondary registrar, the name of the occupier is mentioned in the seven-twelve or income sheet.

More highlighted that there is a provision for the transfer of ownership of the plot on which the buildings of the cooperative housing society are standing in favor of the cooperative housing society. As many housing societies as possible should take advantage of the campaign by participating in the special campaign of humane transfer.
