Pune: Aditya’s Breeze Park in Balewadi Goes Green : Installs Rooftop Solar Power Plant of 75 kW

In a bid to embrace sustainable energy, Aditya’s Breeze Park Society in Balewadi proudly unveiled its new 75 kW Solar Power Generation plant on March 26, 2024. The ceremony, graced by Pankaj Tagalpallewar, Additional Director General of MEDA (Maharashtra Energy Development Agency), marked a significant step towards energy conservation.

“With the help of the Solar Power Plant, the society will save approximately 1.5 lakh rupees per month on electricity bills,” stated Tagalpallewar. He emphasized the importance of renewable energy in today’s world.

The installation, which cost around 43 lakh rupees, is projected to pay for itself within four years. “All electric devices within the society, including elevators, pumps, common lights, and the swimming pool, will now run on 100% solar power,” added a representative from Aditya’s Breeze Park.

Aditya’s Breeze Park is at the forefront of environmental initiatives, with rainwater harvesting, waste segregation, and sewage treatment plants also in place. These efforts are part of the society’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting sustainability.

The event garnered widespread support from residents and officials from neighbouring societies, including the Balewadi Welfare Federation.  Tagalpallewar shared insights into the government’s green initiatives and praised Aditya’s Breeze Park for its proactive approach.

Manas Sharma, the society’s Secretary, commended Tagalpallewar’s contributions to sustainable energy development, while Yogendra Singh, the President, reflected on the society’s green journey. Manoj Kumar, the Treasurer, extended gratitude to all involved.
