Pune: Aeromall To Open Extra Exit Lane For Cabs To Cut Passenger Waiting Time
Pune, August 28, 2025 – To ease heavy traffic congestion near the airport, Aeromall will soon introduce an additional exit lane for four-wheelers, significantly reducing delays faced by cabs and private vehicles during passenger pick-ups and drop-offs.
Currently, the facility has three exit lanes for four-wheelers and two for two-wheelers. Under the new arrangement, four-wheelers will be allotted four lanes, while two-wheelers will be left with one. The move follows frequent complaints about long waiting times, particularly during late-night hours when vehicular traffic peaks.
On average, around 6,000 four-wheelers, including a large number of cabs, pass through Aeromall daily. Due to the high volume, passengers have often faced delays of up to an hour. The new system is expected to be functional within a week and aims to provide a smoother, faster travel experience.
